Dr Soroush Ebtash

Dr. Soroush Ebtash is a graduate of RMIT University, one of the leading institutions in chiropractic education. He has been a lecturer in clinical diagnosis and patient management at Australian College of Natural Medicine, has acted as a clinician and an examiner at RMIT and Murdoch University and has been involved with Bassendean Wellness Clinic since its inception. Soroush has been winner of many awards including the Golden Key Outstanding Achievement Award, the Golden Key Scholarship Award and the RMIT Department of Complementary Medicine Academic Achievement Award. Graduating with Distinction, he was also one of the only two recipients of an Outstanding Achievement Award in Chiropractic Sciences.
Dr. Ebtash is one of the few practitioners in WA who possesses the International Advanced Diploma in Sport Injury Management. He has held many crucial roles in the sporting arena; he has been the Medical Coordinator with Swan Districts Football Club, a Consultant Therapist with the Australian Water Polo National Team, Lead Therapist with the WAIS Water Polo Team and Consultant Therapist with the WAIS Cycling Team, to name a few.
Dr Liam Welfar

Dr. Liam Welfar feels just at home in Bassendean. His involvement with Bassendean Wellness Clinic marks a return to the area where he spent much of his childhood while studying at Guildford Grammar School under a Council Scholarship. Upon completing his secondary school studies, Dr. Liam attended Curtin University where he attained a degree in Environmental Health. Dr. Liam moved to Murdoch University where he began studying Chiropractic Science as part of the inaugural Murdoch Chiropractic program.
Dr. Welfar has been undertaking various roles as part of his involvement with Bassendean Wellness Clinic as the leading practitioner with Swan Districts Football Club, Consultant Therapist with the Australian Water Polo National Team, and the WAIS Water Polo State Team. He is proficient in many different techniques and is one of the few practitioners in WA who possesses the International Advanced Diploma in Sport Injury Management.
Mr Sam Pierce

Mr. Sam Pierce has many years of experience working in both the public and private sector. Sam has extensive experience in Dry Needling and has also been working in Sports Injury Managemnt and Rehabilitation. His employment at Royal Perth Hospital provided him with an in-depth knowledge in a wide range of patient management such as:
- Geriatric and general medicine
- Elective joint replacement
- Shoulder arthroscopy
- Rotator cuff repair and arthropathy
- Group exercise programs for a wide spectrum of patients
- Acute cardio-respiratory care
- Burns patients care
- Acute surgical care
- Musculoskeletal and spinal injury care including Amputee care
Sam aims to provide treatment based on good objective assessment and to continue to investigate latest evidence based knowledge so as to provide optimal patient care. Sam has been successfully running group-based exercise classes such as hydrotherapy, Pilates and specific condition-based rehabilitation.
Miss Jill Hunter

Miss Jill Hunter has extensive experience working with the general public, elite athletes and children, providing a very unique approach to caring for your lower extremity. She combines orthodox approaches in podiatric assessment with a hands-on approach in performing soft tissue therapy of the foot. Jill is very experienced in recommending appropriate orthotics (insoles) for your comfort and stability control. She has also worked with a team of doctors and fellow podiatrists to develop a diabetes-screening tool to be used to detect early complications and an education program, focusing on lifestyle changes to prevent these secondary complications.
Since working in private practice, Jill has also focused on sports podiatry. She has worked with football, rugby and soccer clubs, providing acute and chronic podiatric assessment and treatment. She has also worked with Occupational Therapists and Chiropractors with Roller Sports Australia to provide clinical support at the National Championships.
Miss Erin Hunter

Erin is an occupational therapist well renowned in the area of soft tissue rehabilitation. Erin has been practicing for the past 9 years and has extensive experience with holistic health and various musculoskeletal conditions.
Erin has done two years additional study in the field of Myopractic which is a new method of myofascial release that utilizes a cross-fiber technique to release and retrain muscle fibers. Myopractic is quickly gaining recognition as one of the most effective soft tissue techniques being taught in Australia today.
Erin has worked with a range of athletes such as international dancers, state netball players, national baseball pitchers and national hockey representatives.
Erin is the president of the Soft Tissue Interest Group, which represents professionals in this area and organises professional development for practitioners in this field. She guest lectures to students at Curtin University and Edith Cowan University and runs education sessions to students on this area of occupational therapy.
Erin also has wide-ranging knowledge and experience in the area of workplace ergonomics and uses this information to educate clients on how to reduce aggravating factors in the workplace.
Ms Joanne Puckering

Ms Joanne Puckering has been a member of Bassendean Wellness Clinic Since 2008 and has brought with her a vast experience in fields of Sports and remedial therapies. Joanne offers a wide range of massage therapies, including Hot Stone Massage, Relaxation Massage, Sports Specific Massage and deep tissue Therapy. She also utilises dry needling as needed as part of her treatments.
Ms Rebecca Newman

Rebecca Newman began her massage training in Melbourne, at the Australian College of Natural Medicine in 1999, and has been practising since then. After running successful practices in Melbourne and Perth Rebecca was looking to be part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Rebecca joined the team at Bassendean Wellness in February 2008, and brings to the Clinic experience at all levels of sports and remedial therapies. Rebecca offers a wide range of massage therapies, including massage for relaxation purposes or for a more specific injury or ailment we have the treatment to suit your needs.
Rebecca has completed further studies in pregnancy massage, and advanced myofascial techniques and remains committed to furthering herself in the field of massage and bodywork.
Mr Amir Mansour

Amir has a deep interest and passion in patient management and working in a health care environment. Amir, a qualified remedial massage therapist, has vast experience in Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release Technique, Remedial Massage, Relaxation Massage and Trigger Point Therapy.
Amir has also had further training in Bowen Therapy, a whole body balance, mobility and pain relief specialty. He finds Bowen Therapy to be a remarkable, non invasive and pain free treatment and frequently having instantaneous results.
